Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of students in Grade III of SD Negeri 50/II Lubuk Landai in learning. The purpose of this research is to improve reading comprehension skills through the scramble learning model.This research is a classroom action research. The research subjects were Grade III students of SD Negeri 50/II Lubuk Landai, totaling 14 people consisting of 10 male students and 4 female students. In its implementation, this research consisted of two cycles conducted by the researcher. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year in Grade III of SD Negeri 50/II Lubuk Landai. The research data was collected through observation sheets, documentation, and test results.The results of the research data analysis show that the use of the scramble learning model can improve reading comprehension skills in Indonesian language learning in Grade III of SD Negeri 50/II Lubuk Landai. This is evident from the educator's teaching process in cycle I with an average percentage of (76.47%) in the good category and cycle II with an average percentage of (88.23%) in the very good category, while from the student learning process in cycle I with an average percentage of (64.28%) and in cycle II with an average percentage of (85.71%) in the very good category. For the standard Learning Objective Achievement Criteria of 72%, this is evident from the average value of student learning outcomes in cycle I with a percentage of (57.14%) and cycle II with a percentage of (85.71%) that achieved the KKTP. It can be concluded that the use of the Scramble learning model in Indonesian language learning needs to be applied and developed in order to improve the quality of education in the future.
